🌟 Join In for a Night of Hope
AFSP New Hampshire’s 2nd Annual Gala and Awards Celebration
Friday, May 2 | 7:00–10:00 PM
Manchester Country Club
We invite you to join AFSP for a truly inspiring evening at the 2nd Annual Night of Hope Gala and Awards Celebration, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) New Hampshire Chapter.
The Night of Hope is more than a fundraiser—it’s a powerful gathering of community, compassion, and commitment. Together, we will honor the advocates, organizations, and everyday heroes who go above and beyond in the fight to prevent suicide and support mental health throughout the Granite State.
This elegant evening includes:
A plated dinner
Live and silent auctions
Music and dancing
A photo booth
And, most importantly, the recognition of our 2025 Outstanding Suicide Prevention Champions
All proceeds from the event will go directly toward AFSP’s life-saving mission: to fund scientific research, educate the public, advocate for mental health policies, and support survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide. Your support helps bring hope to families, friends, and communities across New Hampshire.
đź’™ Celebrating the 2025 Honorees
🔹 Beacon of Hope Award – Headrest
Since 1971, Headrest has been a lifeline for individuals facing substance use disorder, crisis, or emotional distress. Their services extend not just to those in need of treatment, but to the families, friends, and employers who support them. Their work exemplifies compassionate, community-based care and crisis response.
🔹 Luminary Partner Award – New Hampshire Outright
Through education, support groups, and pride celebrations, NH Outright creates safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth and families across the state. Their work is essential in making New Hampshire a place where every young person feels seen, heard, and supported—no matter their gender or sexuality.
🔹 Luminary Award – Ken and Dorothy LaValley
For the past two decades, Ken and Dorothy LaValley have been cornerstones of the Portsmouth Out of the Darkness Walk. Their journey began in 2005 in honor of Ken’s brother, Tom, and they have since grown the walk into a statewide movement. Under their leadership, the event has welcomed nearly 8,000 walkers and raised over $1.16 million to support AFSP’s mission in New Hampshire.
