What You’ll Find in the Journey Stories
These Journey Stories provide more than just successes—they serve as a roadmap for healthcare professionals committed to improving suicide care. Each story shares the lessons learned, challenges faced, and the transformative steps taken by these healthcare systems to implement safer, more effective suicide prevention practices.
By reading these experiences, other healthcare providers can gain invaluable insights into how collaborative efforts, strategic planning, and dedication to the Zero Suicide framework can drive system-wide improvements in care.
The Power of Collaboration in Suicide Prevention
The Journey Stories also emphasize the immense power of collaboration in the mission to reduce suicide rates. Through the SC CoIIN initiative, healthcare teams were able to share resources, strategies, and outcomes to collectively enhance the quality of care. These stories reflect the strength that comes from uniting for a common purpose: making suicide care safer and more accessible for all.
For more on how the SC CoIIN initiative has impacted suicide prevention efforts, Pew has highlighted key findings in their blog. We encourage healthcare professionals to explore these resources and incorporate the insights into their own practices.
