Operation Mercury VI: Walking Together for Veteran Mental Health


On June 6, 2026, community members will gather at Camp Carpenter in Manchester for Operation Mercury VI — a 5K hike, walk, or ruck along the Dan Beard Trail to raise awareness about veteran mental health and suicide prevention .

This all-ages, family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Check-in runs from 9:00–9:45 a.m., with step-off at 10:00 a.m. . Leashed dogs are welcome, and the event will take place rain or shine.

Operation Mercury is about visibility and solidarity. The goal is simple but powerful: to remind veterans that they do not have to fight their mental health battles alone June6CampCarpenterOperationsMer…. There is no fundraising component — this event is strictly about awareness, support, and community connection

Participants can expect games, post-hike food and refreshments, and the opportunity to connect with local community partners and organizations
